I decided to develop this website back in 2004 after experiencing the sheer joy of owning a pair of beautiful
cosy sheepskin boots. An eternal sufferer of cold feet and a great lover of all things
soft and fluffy it was only a matter of time before a pair found their way into my wardrobe - actually they spend more time on my feet than in my wardrobe but you get the picture!.
I was so delighted with the comfort and warmth offered by my Warmbat boots that I became somewhat evangelical about them. (I now own
several pairs and I'm sure it won't stop there!) I started with my friends and family and my first convert was my sister Amanda. She is a great testament to the comfort of our boots because she didn't wear any other shoes (inside or outside of the house!) for the first week of owning them. In fact I think she would have worn them in bed if she could. She too is now coveting more pairs!
Following my initial successes with those closest to me I then decided that the whole world deserved to know how comfortable and practical well made sheepskin boots can be. And so started the process of research and learning that has culminated in this site. I hope you enjoy your boots every bit as much as I enjoy mine.
When not waxing lyrical about my many pairs of Warmbat sheepskin boots I like to knit - a hobby that I have only recently taken up but which I have found to be totally addictive! I foresee some merino wool socks in my near future because quite frankly, what could be more perfect to wear with a pair of merino sheepskin boots than merino socks?
