Warmbat Australia Launches the World's Very First Eco-Friendly Sheepskin™ Boots

The whole world is waking up to the fact that we need to give more thought to the environmental impact that we have on our planet simply by the products we buy and the way we live.  As the makers of the fastest growing brand of sheepskin boots in the world Warmbat Australia has decided that it is time to put its sheepskin clad foot down!  They have changed their manufacturing processes and are proud to introduce the world's first Eco Friendly Sheepskin™, marking the first time that such a product has been used in the industry.

Warmbat's Eco-Friendly Sheepskin™ products will be tanned using a chrome-free tanning agent that is recyclable and biodegradable, and all chemicals potentially harmful to the manufacturers or the environment will be eliminated from the process.  Warmbat products already feature removable, washable and replaceable insoles, long-lasting outsoles and the patented Dri-Lex® moisture absorption system to extend the life of the boots and shoes and in turn cut down on the amount of waste generated by throwing away old items of footwear.

Warmbat is introducing its new Eco-Friendly Sheepskin™ in many of its best-selling shearling products in 2007 and their eventual aim is to have all their products produced with Eco-Friendly Sheepskin™.

The new Joey range for kids is one of the first to be made using Eco-Friendly Sheepskin™ with the Joey Short and Tall boots featuring a layer of recycled rubber on the sole for added traction.
